The purpose of The Scottish Football Partnership Trust’s Growing the Game Award, in partnership with The Clydesdale Bank, is to assist Scottish FA Quality Mark clubs add one new team to their playing membership. The funding provided assists with the start-up cost of a new team and is delivered in conjunction with the Regional Football Development staff. This ambitious project aims to create 60 new grassroots teams during the 2016/17 season.

West End F.C., based in Aberdeen, were delighted to receive a Growing the Game award which enabled the club to create a new 2009 boys team. This has brought more than 13 new players into the game, with more youngsters likely to join as the club continue to go from strength to strength. The boys will start off playing 4 -v- 4 games and will participate in local football festivals later this month. The boys are pictured here in their new kit and already look like future professional footballers!
